Structured Data

Code that describes a page's content to search engines in a standard format.

Structured data is markup, usually schema.org in JSON-LD, that labels the meaning of content: this is a business, a review, an FAQ, a product. Search engines use it to understand pages precisely and to power rich results. For local businesses it is especially valuable, since it lets you state your NAP, hours, and reviews in a form engines read directly.
